Speech: MEC Dube-Ncube at Dube clan Imbizo

Note to editors: The following remarks were delivered by the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal Nomusa Dube-Ncube at an Imbizo called by government for the Dube clan in the Mhlathuze Local MunicipalityThis Imbizo was to give community members feedback on the restoration of uBukhosi to correct house within the Dube royal family in line with the recommendations of the Commission on Traditional Leadership Disputes and Claims. 

Mphathi wohlelo namuhla wusuku oluyingqophamlando lapha esizweni saKwaDube. Silapha ngokuhlanganyela sizophenya isahluko esisha emlandweni wesizwe sakwaDube namaphethelo.

Engathi phela silapha nina beNkosi ukuzonethulela umbiko njengesizwe nezizwe ezingomakhelwane, ngokuthe kwahlaluka kulandela uphenyo olunzulu mayelana nesihlalo sobukhosi besizwe salapha kwaDube.

Siyazi ukuthi iningi lenu sekunesikhathi eside nidunguza ebumnyameni, ningazi ukuthi ngempela ngakube iyozala nkomoni, njengoba bekukhona ukungaboni ngasolinye komkhulu, ngokuthi ngakube ubani okufanele ngempela ahlale esihlalweni sobukhosi.

uHulumeni wethu, ungowabantu ukholelwa kakhulu ekutheni uma ngabe isakhiwo sobuholi bomdabu sintengantenga, soze lesiFundazwe sakwazi ukuthi siphuthumise izinhlelo zentuthuko ezindaweni ezakhele AmaKhosi.

Ningofakazi futhi ekutheni  izindawo zamaKhosi eminyakeni eminingi engabaleki, bezilokhu zishiywa ngemumva kungakho namunye uHulumeni obuzikhathalele ukuthi nazo zihlomule ezinhlelweni zentuthuko. Ukwenza isibonelo nje, loHulumeni wethu ukubeke eqhulwini ukuthi izinhlelo zika gesi, amanzi nokuthuthwa kwendle zinabele nasemakhaya. Namuhla uma uhamba ebususku ezindaweni zamaKhosi ungafunga ukuthi uhamba edolobheni kulandela ukuqhakaza kukakagesi. Ngiyazi ukuthi ngendlela lentuthuko esixhaphakele ngayo sesiyithatha kalula, sikhohliwe ukuthi emakhaya kwakuthi uma kuhwalala kube kuhwalele sekuyoze kuphumuze ilanga uma kusa.

Ukubambisana okuhle kwamaKhosi ethu nezakhiwo zikaHulumeni, kwenza ukuthi siwuHulumeni singakutholi ukuphumula uma kukhona isizwe lakhona lungekho khona uzinzo, ikakhululukazi uma kuthinta ikomkhulu lesizwe. Sikusho lokhu ngoba phela iNdlunkulu kunoma yisiphi isizwe iyona enika umkhombandlela esizweni, yiyona futhi eyilanga elikhanyisela isizwe, ihlonze izinyathelo okufanele zithathwe ukuze isizwe sikwazi ukuthi sithuthuke siye phambili.

Ngakho besikhathazeke kakhulu ngesimo salapha esizweni sakwaDube kodwa senza konke okusemandleni siholwa yiSilo-saMabandla Onke, nokuyisona ebesihlala njalo sibuza ukuthi loludaba ngabe selukuphi. Sikushayele elikhulu ihlombe ukuthi cha ngempela ekugcineni sesize safinyelela esiphethweni ngaloludaba.

Nina bohlanga, silapha nje kulandela ukuthi sibe nomhlangano nomndeni ezinyangeni ezendlule, nokuyilapha khona sawazisa ngesinqumo ikomidi elibhekele ukuxazulula lapho kunezinkinga khona ngesihlalo sobukhosi  elafinyelela kuso, nokwathi kamumva leso sinqumo sase sethulwa ezithebeni seKhabinethi yoHulumeni wesiFundazwe, kwase kuthi mina ngajutshwa iKhabhinethi ukuthi ngibikele Ongangezwe- lakhe ngalesinqumo.

 

Angifuni ukugxila kakhulu ngomnyombo walomdonsiswano mayelana nesihlalo sobukhosi besizwe. Ngikusho lokhu ngoba phela thina maZulu noma thina esikhulele ngaphansi kwamaKhosi izindaba zakomkhulu azikhulunywa isinoma ikanjani, nakuba inhloso kungasikho ukuthi khona okufihlwayo, kodwa ngokwesiko lethu, izindaba zakomkhulu, ziyahlonishwa.

Kodwa kafuphi, Kuzokhumbuleka ukuthi  kulandela ukukhothama ngo 1973 kweNkosi yalesizwe endala  kwabe sekubheduka ukudonsisana koNdlunkulu beNkosi. Kwaphetha ngokuthi kube nophenyo olwenziwa ikhomishana thizeni neyayalela umndeni ukuthi unikeze uholo ngalokhu. Umndeni kuthiwa wavumelana ngo olethu  ngokuthi iNkosi elandelayo iqhamuke ngasekhohlo,  nokuthe kamumva lokho kwasekuphikiswa uhlangothi ngokosiko lwalapha komkhulu, okuyilona kanye okwakufanele kwasekuqaleni, AmaKhosi esizwe  aqhamuke ngakulo.

Lokhu kwenzeka kanjena nina beSilo, kuthe ngonyaka ka 2015 udaba lwalapha ekhaya lwathulwa  ezithebeni zekhomishana ebhekela ukuxazulula imibango ngezihlalo zobukhosi esiFundazweni. Lekhomishana ngobufakazi obathulwa kuyo, yathola ukuthi ngempela abolibo lomtanenkosi ongasekho u Elijah Dube, ibona okufanele baqhubeke nokuhlala esihlalweni sobukhosi kumbandakanye naye uMtanenkosi u-Elijah uqobo ongalitholanga lelo thuba njengoba ubuKhosi bawela endlini yase khohlo njengoba besengishilo phambilini. Ngokobufakazi obathulwa kwi khomishana kuyavela ukuthi umtwana u-Elijah uyena owayephethe ngisho umkhonto mhla kutshalwa iNkosi endala uMagemegeme nokwathi kamumva wahlaba isoyi  leliba leNkosi ngaphambi kokuthi kumbiwe. Wabe futhi esenza yonke into eyisiko lalapha ekhaya nokwakuwubufakazi obuqanda ikhanda ukuthi ngempela uyena qobo okufanele ahole isizwe kodwa akwangaba njalo.

Bakwethu, angisho ukuthi ikhomishana ebiphenya ngalokhu yathola ukuthi ngempela kufanele INkosi  uMbongiseni Mfanazonke Dube kube iyona ehlala esihlalweni ihole isizwe. Lokhu kwenzeka nje ngoba uyise ozala iNkosi, uElijah, sewadlula kulomhlaba.

Angidlule ekutheni  uHulumeni akukho kwenzelela akwenzile lapha kodwa ulandele umthetho kwenziwa uphenyo olunzulu lwenziwa abantu abakulungele lokho futhi abazimele, beholwa nabo isiko mpilo lesizwe sakwaDube.

Ngizocela ukuthi ngiyibambe lapha njengoba bengishilo nangaphambilini ukuthi angizofuna-ke ukuthi ngingene ngigamanxe, ezintweni eziningi ezaba imbangela yokuthi kube nomdonsiswana ongaka komkhulu, mayelana nesihlalo sobukhosi. Ngoba phela lokho angeke kusasisiza ngalutho, kodwa okubalulekile ukuthi thina singabantwana beNkosi kufanele sibambane ngezandla zombili, sise isizwe sakwaDube phambili. Akungaphinde nanini futhi kube nombango ngokuthi ubani okufanele ahlale esihlalweni sobukhosi. Kodwa kunalokho, kofanele kube umlando osiholayo ukuthi sibheka kuphi siyisizwe.

Nginethemba lokuthi ngisho izinyanya zalapha ekhaya  ziphumule kahle futhi zijabulile, lokhu namuhla kuvuleke isahluko esisha emlandeni walapha esizweni samaDube. Asizameke ngakho konke okusemandleni ukuthi singavumeli abadukisi bangene phakathi kwethu. Uma kwenzeka kubakhona ofuna ukutshala imbewu yokungazwani phakathi kwabantwana beNkosi, loyo akavezwe obala ngoba isizwe seNkosi kufanele sithuthuke siye phambili.

Kusukela manje kuyaphambili, ngicabanga ukuthi nina beNkosi nizofunukwazi ukuthi ikuphi okuzokwenzeka. Angisho-ke ukuthi okuzokwenzeka ilokhu:

  • Sizokwethula ngokusemthethweni iNkosi eNdlini yamaKhosi yesiFunda salapha eKing Cetshwayo, nokuyilapho izothatha khona isihlalo sayo njengeNkosi yesizwe sakwaDube.
  • Ukuvuselelwa kobuKhosi besiZwe sakwa Dube kuzomenyezelwa futhi kwiNdlu yabaholi boMdabu yesiFunda.
  • iNkosi izokwethulwa naseNdlunkulu kaZulu nakuSilo sethu
  • Sokwenza futhi isiqiniseko sokuthi isizwe sibamba iqhaza ekukhethweni kwemikhandlu yomdabu nokuwuhlelo okufanele lubanjwe nonyaka.
  • Kuzolindeleka ukuthi iNkosi yenze isiko lokuthela amanzi eNdlunkulu kaZulu nokuyothi kamumva bese kwenziwa umcimbi wokuyigcoba ngokusemthethweni.
  • Sizobheka futhi nenhlalakahle yeNkosi nokuzothi uma kuphoqa yakhelwe iHlalankosi.
  • Njengawo wonke amaKhosi, iNkosi kuzolindeleka ukuthi ihlomule ezinhlelweni zomnyango sokuthuthukisa ulwazi emaKhosini ukuze akwazi okuhola izizwe zawo.

Konke lokhu kufakazela ngokusobala ukuthi uHulumeni wethu usebenza ngokungaphezi ukubuyisa isithunzi sabaholi bomdabu. Sikwenza lokhu kungasondele khetho kodwa sithunywa nje qha intshisekelo yokuthi uma sishiya amaKhosi ngemumva, siyisiFundazwe asisoze saphumela ekuthuthukiseni izimpilo zabantu bakithi, ikakhulukazi labo abakhele izindawo zamaKhosi. Siyaphinda futhi siyakhuleka emaKhosini ukuthi aqhubeke nokusihola, lapho sishayise khona awasiqondise ngoba phela thina sifana nezingane zawso amaKhosi okufanele aphuthumise izinhlelo zentuthuko ezindaweni zawo, ilokho asithume kona.

Mphathi wohlelo kuleliqophelo angithathe lelithuba ngibonge emndenini wakomkhulu ngokusinika indlebe, nokusebenzisana nathi kulungiswa udaba lwalapha ekhaya. Angifisele isizwe sonke inhlanhla kuyaphambili, ngicele futhi esizweni ukuthi iNkosi ihlonishwe bakwethu futhi siyilekelele kuyo yonke imisebenzi yayo yokuthuthukisa isizwe. Ngoba ngaphandle kokuthi sisebenzisane nayo, lesizwe asisoze saqhubekela phambili.

BoNzwakele nesizwe sonke, siyazi ke kulendawo ukuthi kuyaye kubuye kube nakho ukushuba kwezimo okuze kudale ukwesabela kwezokuphepha endaweni. Siyanxusa kakhulu ukuthi bonke abantu bazithibe balandele konke osekwenzeke ngokuyalela komthetho. Onganelisekile ngalokhu unelungelo lokuthatha ubada aluse enkantolo, kunokugovuza abantu. Sesadlula isikhathi sokuhlwebhana ngezinto ezilungisekayo ngezindlela ezisemthethweni. Siyanibonga ke mndeni wakwaDube kanye nesizwe ukuthi asikazwe sizwe imibiko emibi selokhu sanethulela umbiko weKhomishana nesinqumo seCabinet ngaloludaba.

Ngithanda ukudlusa ukubonga kwami egameni likaHulumeni, kubaba uSeletshe Dube, okunguye obekade ebambile kulesisikhundla, ngokusiphatha kahle isihlalo sakubo aziphathe kahle izindaba zesizwe. Sithi sibonga asiphezi, Nzwakele, Nyamazane, ngeqhaza olibambile kuleminyaka emibili edlulile. Siyethemba uzoqhubeka nokweseka iNkosi entsha esihlalweni kuzo zonke izinhlelo zokusebenza eziqhubekayo kuyimanje esizweni.

ENkosini, siyayihalalisela futhi sithumela umlayezo wokuthi Nkosi, nguwena Nkosi ongumthunzi wabo bonke abantu balesisizwe ngokufanayo.  Izibongo zonke eziphakathi kwesizwe yizibongo zesizwe. Asikho esiphakemeyo kumbe esiphansi kunezinye.
