Thousands turn up to celebrate african heritage at provincial beads festival

Cooperative Government and Traditional Affairs MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube, Art, Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC Bongi Sithole-Moloi and Member of Parliament Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu joined thousands of community members including Amakhosi, Mayors and business people to witness the Provincial Festival of Beads which took place at the Unit 1 Sports Grounds in the Msunduzi Local Municipality on 15.10.16. In this event rural women who do bead work and traditional dance groups show cased their skills for a total prize of R375 000.

  The township of eMbali in the Msunduzi Municipality was a hive of activity this weekend as thousands of people from across the Province took part in the annual Festival of Beads.
