DURBAN, 15 APRIL 2026 – In a significant show of solidarity, Amakhosi from all districts across KwaZulu-Natal have voiced their support for His Majesty’s Royal Panel, which is scheduled to travel to Parliament next week to meet with 13 political parties.
The primary objective of this interaction is to lobby for an amendment to the
Ingonyama Trust Act.
The proposed amendment seeks to transfer the authority to appoint board members of the Ingonyama Trust Board (ITB) directly to His Majesty King Misuzulu KaZwelithini.
Yesterday Amakhosi held a special meeting in Durban where they expressed their support for this process.
